The conference theme: “Improve Everything We Touch”

It was a two-day event for 1000 Home Depot Installation contractors from across Canada that included Spotlight Sessions in the Main Hall, Certification Sessions, Training Workshops, a Trade Show and an evening Social.

The Assignment
To create the unique Home Depot Installation look, Videoscope, worked  with the planning team to design a stage incorporating the Installation Services logo and silhouettes representing the installation trades.  And, of course, the appropriate colour! 
Wall tile in the background, custom podiums and footings completed the look.

Since the main hall had only factory-style fixtures, Videoscope designed lighting to create the show atmosphere. “Movers” (gobos that swept shapes across the ceiling and walls) added fanfare for presentations.   

The Final touch was a custom built Archway which matched the stage. The 18’ wide by 16’ high double sided bi-fold doors created a transition between main room and Trade Show.  When the Trade Show opened, the doors swung back, allowing delegates to pour through this grand entrance.

In the Main Hall, Videoscope provided four screens, with two set back in the hall so everyone had a clear view (9’ x 12’ main screens and 7.5’ x 10’ delay screens). Visuals included cameras for IMAG, video rolls and graphic presentations

A 12-speaker Meyer Sound System, Teleprompters and Translation Service for French- speaking participants ensured that everyone got the message.

The Results
With only a day for set-up and one full day of rehearsal, the Videoscope show director and crew were well prepared for a seamless AV production.

Videoscope also covered AV requirements outside the Main Hall, with projectors, screens, microphones and PA for the fourteen workshops, announcements, and the evening social event.
