The Full High Definition Handy Camera The PMW-EX1R, with a fixed zoom lens, replaces the PMW-EX1 and builds on its strengths. A new standard feature is SD, DVCAM, recording and playback function to provide a smooth transition to standard def to high def production.
Other new features: HDMI output, a higher-resolution viewfinder, cache recording, and one-push auto iris. The IR Remote Control on the rear of the handle allows remote commander control from both the front and rear of the camcorder.
A range of ergonomic enhancements, including an improved hand grip for better balance, one-click S&Q mode and easy-to-access switches.
Like the PMW-EX1, it has three 1/2-inch "Exmor" full-HD CMOS Sensors. Multi-format capable, it supports 1080 or 720 line record modes at either the PAL 50 base or the NTSC 60 base.
This CineAlta branded camcorder records various frame rates, including: 23.98P, 25P, 30P or 50/60i. Updated Clip Browser software (v.2.6) is supplied with the new camcorders. New functions will include: support for new recording formats 1440×1080 (HQ), DV-AVI, and four-channel audio. Additional Features: The PMW-EX1R and PMW-350 have a Slow Shutter function for capturing clear images in low-light. They also offer an Interval Recording function that allows single frame recording at pre-determined intervals.
