With the Sony HVR-S270 Camcorder, HDV can be recorded to Sony
Compact Flash Memory using Recording Unit supplied with the camera.

Sony DigitalMaster* Media
PHDV-63DM through PHDV-276DM
are Sony's DigitalMaster* media.
This tape is the highest quality
available for HDV, and can record DVCAM and DV as
well.
It is formulated to provide cleaner images (higher
output and lower noise in the signal.)
Manufactured with two 100%
active metal evaporated layers, it achieves 95% fewer errors and 60% fewer
dropouts than Sony consumer DV tape.
The DigitalMaster* series tapes comes in a mini cassette, recording 63
minutes of HDV material for field production, and up to 276 minutes on full
size cassettes.
