Videoscope carries HDCAM tape media from Sony, Maxell and Fuji. Tape length ranges from six minutes to one hundred and twenty-four minutes. After it's introduction in by Sony 1997, HDCAM became the standard for broadcast and professional high def recording. It records video at 144 Mbit/s and carries four channels of digital audio, AES.EBU 20 bit/48 kHz. HDCAM SR, from Sony, uses a higher particle density tape then HDCAM. It is capable of recording in 10 bits, 4:4:4 RGB with a bitrate of 440 Mbit/s, allowing it to capture more of the full bandwidth of the HD SDI Signal. HDCAM SR uses the MPEG-4 Studio Profile for compression and can carry up to twelve audio channels at 48 kHz/24 bit. Recording Media Catalog 2010. Special pricing can be arranged for large orders.
